The Primary Suite sits on the east side of the home with stunning, sunrise views of the bay through the wrap-around patio doors and a walk-out to the deck and outdoor shower. This room is equipped with: a king bed, ensuite washroom with a large walk in shower, a private water closet, and double vanity sink.

1 Queen Bed - Shared Washroom

The Secondary Suite sits on the west wing of the home with west facing windows, allowing the prettiest of Exuma sunsets to peek through. This bedroom shares a washroom with the Bunk Room.

Single over Queen Bunk Bed - Shared Washroom

The Bunk Room on the north side of the of the home features a single over queen bunkbed, which lends itself well to a room for your children, or another family you choose to invite along on your Exuma vacation! This bedroom shares a washroom with the Secondary Suite

The water for the home is a combination of rainwater and water trucked to the house. The water is completely safe for washing, showering etc., but you should use the bottled water provided for drinking. Our water supply is limited, so please be conscientious of use. Do not run taps unnecessarily and only do full loads of dishes or laundry in the dishwasher and laundry machines. We provide one 5-gallon jug of water for the water cooler. Jugs can be refilled at Naturally Fresh (242-336-3343) on Queens Hwy or at several locations in George Town.
For large boats, the harbor is likely too shallow and it is not advisable. For smaller boats, guests can anchor slightly offshore. Most guests opt to hire a captain instead and go on excursions or guided trips instead due to the waters being somewhat hard to navigate. Additionally, the captains know all the best areas to maximize your value from your trip. Our property manager can help arrange this for you.
Yes. Thatch Bay Cottage faces the south side of the island which is characterized by shallow, calm waters which is perfect for families with kids who would like to swim. Thatch Bay Cottage is also nearby to Moriah Harbour, a national park in Exuma with beautiful sandbars and wildlife.
Thatch Bay Cottage is approximately a 40-45 minute drive from Exuma International Airport (GGT)
The closest grocery store is Exuma Markets in Georgetown, which is approximately a 20 minute drive from the home (halfway between the Airport and the home). There are other various convenience stores along the way for light goods and snacks.
